Immigration

Información de inmigración

Citizens from many countries do not need a visa to enter Mexico for tourism, business, or transit (up to 180 days).

Immigration and Visa Guidelines

  • You must have a valid passport with blank pages and complete the Multiple Immigration Form (FMM), often provided by airlines.
  • Keep the FMM during your stay and return it when leaving.
  • If your country is not visa-exempt, apply for a visitor visa at a Mexican embassy or consulate.
  • Exceptions: If you hold a valid visa or permanent residency in the U.S., Canada, Japan, UK, Schengen Area, or are a permanent resident of Chile, Colombia, or Peru, you may enter Mexico without a Mexican visa.
